Welcome to Hubei Engineering University 

Hubei Engineering University was established upon the approval by the National Ministry of Education, and so far it has 71 years of history. The university boasts a picturesque campus which covers an area of 1,400-odd mu and it has a floorage of 520,000 square meters. It is located in the downtown of Xiaogan City famous for the birthplace of Dong Yong—— a legendary man known for his utmost filial piety, a city in the center of 1+8 Wuhan City Circle.

The university attaches great importance to the development of disciplines and have formed a complete and optimized disciplinary system covering 10 disciplines: economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, management and arts. Now, it comprises 62 undergraduate specialties, 15 academic schools with double bachelor degree awarding powers for the existing 25,000-odd full-time students from 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions.

HBEU is adhering to the opening-up policy in running the schools and carrying on a wide range of international academic exchanges and cooperation. It has established friendly co-operative ties and academic exchange programs with more than 10 international education institutions in the countries such as America, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Australia, etc. It has launched the international cooperative education programs for cultivating three-year and four-year students with foreign universities such as British Anglia Ruskin University, British University of Wolverhampton, etc. And it has attracted batches of foreign students coming for study.
