Introduction of China Scholarships
In order to promote the mutual understanding, cooperation and exchanges in various fields between China and other countries, the Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to study and conduct research in Chinese universities.
China scholarships can be divided into the following 5 categories:
- Chinese Government Scholarship (Also known as CSC scholarship)
- Local Government Scholarship
- University Scholarship
- Enterprise Scholarship
- Scholarship for Enrolled Students
Besides the 5 types listed above, there’s ISSP Scholarship available here, which developed by ScholarshipChina. The main idea of this program is to get the school fees lower so as to make it financially easier for all international students to get a program to study in China. Till now, ISSP program covers over 100 Chinese universities and colleges, and provides over 3000 seats for students to study in China.

ISSP Scholarship is created by Scholarship China, known as “International Scholarly Study Project”, which aims to “Create International Study Opportunities” for all youth by providing 20,000 scholarship seats and 20%-80% scholarship programs for Chinese and foreign students through ISSP scholarship program platform. ISSP encourages young people to enhance their recognition and understanding for international environment through international exchange programs which can learn knowledge, broaden their horizons and contribute more power to promote social progress while achieving greater self-development and change personal destiny.
