Changzhou College of Information Technology

Changzhou Vocational and Technical College of Information was founded in 1962. It was first named Changzhou Qinye Mechanical and Electrical School. In 1980, it was renamed Changzhou Radio Industrial School. In October 2000, it was approved by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government to form Changzhou Vocational and Technical College of Information by merging Changzhou Radio Industrial School and Changzhou Electronics Industrial Workers University.

The school is located in Changzhou, the hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta, which is the most developed region in China. It is situated in the Changzhou Higher Vocational Park with beautiful scenery and full of modern atmosphere. It integrates teaching, scientific research, training, vocational skills identification and social services.

The school covers an area of 1,042 Mu and covers a total area of 337,800 square meters. It has 12180 full-time students, 4533 continuing education students, 222 overseas students and 696 teaching staff. The school has seven secondary colleges, including Intelligent Equipment College, Electronic Engineering College, Software and Big Data College, Modern Service College, Digital Creative College, Continuing Education College and Overseas Education College, and four teaching departments, including Marxist College, Basic Teaching Department, University Foreign Language Department and Sports Department.

Based on the concept of "based on information industry, training information talents and serving the information society", the school has 40 specialties, including 8 national key specialties, 4 national training bases, 4 national top-quality courses, 3 National top-quality resource sharing courses, 2 National top-quality online open courses, 1 National top-quality teaching team, 1 national top teaching teacher, and the whole country. One Sex Industry and Education Alliance, one Modern Apprenticeship Pilot Speciality of the Ministry of Education, and two national teaching resource banks are the demonstration bases for training high-skilled talents of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the training bases for outsourcing talents of national software and information services. There are 2 brand majors in Jiangsu Province, 2 provincial production and education integration training bases, 5 backbone majors, 7 characteristic majors, 4 key professional groups, 1 scientific and technological innovation team and 3 famous teaching teachers. They have won 3 first-class and 3 second-class prizes for national teaching achievements, 1 first-class prize, 5 second-class prizes for provincial teaching achievements, and 1 second-class prize for science and technology in Jiangsu Province.
