Huainan Normal University
Huainan Normal University (Huainan Normal University for short) is located in Huainan city, Anhui Province, an important national energy city. It is a full-time undergraduate University in Anhui Province. The university has been awarded the honorary titles of "National Language standardization Demonstration School", "Civilized Unit of Anhui Province", "Advanced Collective of Employment of Graduates of Ordinary Institutions of Higher Learning", "Model Unit of Employment of Graduates of Ordinary Institutions of Higher Learning", "Training Base of Social Work Professionals of Province" and so on. [13] In 2007, the school successfully passed the undergraduate teaching level assessment of the Ministry of Education and achieved "good" results. In 2009, the school was identified as a provincial project construction unit for postgraduate training. [12]
The school was founded in 1958 as Huainan Normal College. 1962 Huainan Teachers' College was transformed into Huainan Middle School teachers' advanced study School. In 1978, the school was officially named "Anhui University Huainan Normal School" after its resumption. July 9, 1983, formally approved the establishment of Huainan Teachers college. In 1989, Huainan Institute of Education and East China Normal University signed an agreement to conduct undergraduate correspondence education. In 2000, approved by the Ministry of Education, huainan Normal College, Huainan Education College and Huainan Normal School were merged to form Huainan Normal College.
By May 2021, the university covers an area of 762,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 580,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research equipment is 198 million YUAN. The university has a collection of 2.26 million paper books and 656,000 electronic periodicals. It has 15 secondary colleges and 55 undergraduate majors. Currently, there are 1081 faculty and staff members, including 896 full-time teachers, among whom 302 have senior professional titles, 780 have doctoral and master degrees, and more than 20,000 full-time students [1].
