Anhui Business College of Vocational Technology

Founded in 1903, Anhui Business College, or ABC is a publicly-funded full-time vocational college under the direct leadership of Anhui Provincial Department of Education. It is located in Wuhu, a national open city along the Yangtze River and close to Shanghai and Nanjing. In 2019, ABC is listed under Double High-level Project of China. It boasts a lot of other titles: Top 200 Vocational Colleges in China, National Flagship Vocational Colleges of Higher Education, Top 50 National Higher Education Institutions for Employment Work, Top 50 National Higher Education Institutions for Practice Management, Pilot Unit of Modern Apprenticeship, Pilot Unit of “1+X” Certificate, etc.

ABC has over 500 full-time teachers and nearly 12,000 students. Over 90% percent of its faculties are double-qualified teachers. ABC now is composed of 9 teaching departments and 40 majors. Presently, ABC possesses a batch of high quality education resources including national-level key developing majors, national-level teaching repository, national-level production-oriented training and teaching base, national-level faculty training center and 255 training bases with advanced equipment and complete supporting facilities. In recent years, students from ABC has won 19 first prizes in the National Vocational Students Skills Competition. The graduate employment rate stays above 98%.

To enhance its international exposure, ABC works in partnership with universities in Britain, America, Thailand, Malaysia, North Korean and Japan to carry out faculty and student exchange program. In response to the BRI initiative, ABC pays more attention to the cooperation with BRI countries in recent years. For now, ABC has established its “Chinese Language and Culture Center” in Thailand and is projected to carry out 2 rounds of “Short-term Cultural Exchange Program for Foreign Students in China” every year and hold the people-to-people exchange forum or vocational education forum regularly.
