More than just writing a grade report sheet, the study plan section of your application is your chance to talk about yourself. Personal statements are not easy to write, and require substantial planning. Entry to own ideal university is not easy, so spending time on writing the best personal statement possible is important.

First of all, ask yourself "why study in China?" While this might sound like a simple question, it is actually the pillar of your whole essay. What is it that truly attracts you about China? Is it the language, the culture, the food? Or do you wish to settle economical ties with the big Asian giant in the near future? Think about it for a moment, since your whole essay will depend on your answer.
Chinese people are quite straight forward, so you might as well tell them from the start what you are expecting from the whole journey. Some people just wish to get fluent enough in Chinese, while others wish to understand enough about the culture. Regardless of how small or big your ambitions are, write them down and be specific about them.
Secondly, Why should they pick you from the almost endless list of foreigners applying?
Make sure you stand out. As we've already said on the first paragraph, the whole point of this essay is to "sell yourself". Tell them about your strong points, and don't even be shy about telling them your weak points. Chinese people are actually impressed over people willing to overcome their own difficulties.
The people that will be reading your essay will usually be either an admissions tutor for a taught course or the project supervisor for a research program. Let them know why you want to attain classes in that particular field and in that particular university. Is the program noted for any speciality? How did you find out about the major? What have you read about the field? Who have you spoken to about it? What special skills do you have to offer?

My name is Christella and I would like to apply for the bachelor degree of Dental Surgery in Jingchu University of Technology in China.
BACKGROUND
I graduated from GS Saint Aloys Rwamagana high school. I was an active somehow indulgent student among others during my high school studies, very often involved in many curricular and co-curricular activities. In fact,I was up to the mark and honored in the top students in my high school class. If observed by the meritorious efforts, I remain very competent and I have passed all entrance tests conducted by the academic institution of my education with high achievements the whole district.
