Language course arrangement
The university's semester is divided into two semester sessions of 16-20 weeks with at least 20 hours of class time per week. Compulsory language courses for grammar, listening, comprehension and speaking are usually held in the morning for 3-4 hours, and optional language courses are available in the afternoon. Taking Chinese language programs for example, the afternoon electives usually include Tai Chi, Business Chinese, Drama, Calligraphy and Chinese History.
