International students who want to study in China need to fill in the application form in advance to help them apply to Chinese universities. In the process of filling out the form, you not only need to fill in the necessary information, but also need to pay attention to some conditions to prevent the application form from invalidating.

Before filling out

You need to complete the form in Chinese or English. Fill the form on PC. Tick "√" where applicable. Any form that does not follow the notes will be invalid.

Which parts do I need to fill out?

The application form is divided into 7 parts generally, including personal information, education background (From high school to the latest year), work experience (If applicants have worked), raised study in China, financial supporter, emergency contact in China and family members of the applicant. Each section contains a lot of information below, you need to fill in as much as possible and ensure that the information is detailed and accurate.

Tip 1: Address

The most important thing to note is that you need to map your address to the street, preferably by listing the house number. As presented on the form, you need to describe your address in detail. Not only the current address, but also the post-immigration address if you have relevant information. Street, City, and Country are three essential elements. The purpose of this is to make it easier to contact you with special circumstances and what you need to know. 

Tip 2: Provide a detailed education background

The educational background is a very important part of describing your educational experience and current level of education. Students from different educational backgrounds have different levels of education and apply different degrees and majors. Therefore, this part is indispensable. When filling out this section, you need to start with a high school education background, fill in the bachelor's degree, master's degree or doctoral degree if you have relevant educational experience. You should strictly follow the form as month XX, year XX.  The time points must be accurate and not be separated.

Tip 3: Provide complete family member information

It's worth noting that your family information is crucial when applying for grants and scholarships. We need to understand your complete family information, which is an important way to assess a student's background. We need to ensure that international students studying in China meet Chinese laws and regulations, and better help students choose the right university. Therefore, be sure to provide accurate and complete family information to prevent loss of future benefits.

Tip 4: Non criminal record (police clearance) and Physical test

You should also see the attachment below the application form. Not only do you need to prepare these documents in time, but you should also pay attention to the validity of the documents. The Non criminal record (police clearance) and Physical test in the annex are two notable parts. They must be in the current year and within the validity period. A criminal record helps us understand the background of the student in order to respond appropriately and pay attention. Chinese laws and regulations are very strict, and students with criminal records need to be properly reminded to prevent illegal activities. Many Chinese universities require physical testing for their courses, which is almost a must. 

Tip 5: Passport must be valid for more than one year

Passports are a necessary condition for international students to study in Chinese universities, but you should not forget the validity of your passport. Many Chinese study-abroad programs are more than one year, so your passport must be valid for more than one year. Even if you are studying for less than one year, you may have additional needs. The validity of your passport for more than one year will save you a lot of trouble and help you learn better in China.

Tip 6: Attachments and forms

The attachment requires international students to prepare. There are a lot of tips at the beginning and end of the form, you need to read these notes carefully to prevent the wrong information. The information and materials provided in the application form must be true. During the period of studying in China, international students must abide by Chinese laws and regulations, and do not engage in any activities that endanger China's social order and do not conform to their personal learning status in China. After obliging to obey the school arrangement in China, the school and the majors studied must not be changed without any reason. During the school year, follow the school's discipline and school rules, and fully engage in study and research. Respect the teaching arrangements of the school. These rules are very important to you, especially when applying for scholarships.
