Changchun – It is the capital and largest city of Jilin Province.

51 trains begin or pass by Changchun Railway Station everyday; more than thirty domestic airlines and four international lines of Changchun Longjia International Airport provide you much convenience of transportation. Four main speedways have connected the city with many parts of the country. At present there are four special tourist trains having been in use, Changchun to Xianghai, to Changbai Mountain, to Jilin and to Hunchun.

Changchun, known as 'Spring City of Northland', is of monsoon climate, locating in the transitional belt from wet area to sub-dry area. The four seasons varies a lot and the Changchun weather is rather pleasant, therefore it is honored Spring City of Northland. Spring is dry and windy; summer is wet and rainy; autumn is sunny and cool; winter is cold. Generally speaking rain and heat come in the same season. Besides, favorable climate and enough sunshine provide very good condition for the growth of crops. 

The Songhuajiang River is abundant in White Fish, called Bai Yu in Chinese. The meat of the White Fish is quite tender. So, many restaurants in Changchun provide the steamed White Fish. There are two ways of steaming: One is 'dry steaming' without soup; and the other is 'steaming with some soup'. The soup is full of the flavor of fish, which tastes very mild and delicious.

This dish has a history of one hundred years in Changchun and it is quite popular among travelers. Food materials include red beans, egg and sugar. The plump bean paste has a white color and served with white sugar, hence the name. it is sweet and refreshing.

The Lianhuashan Ski Slope is the biggest slope in Changchun, which is the nearest ski slope from a city center in all of China. Covering 6 square kilometers, it features six primary, secondary and advanced ski runs. Apart from skiing, people also can skate or go snowmobiling. During the summer season, tourists can still go "grass skating," golfing, hang gliding and so on.

Located the southeast of central Changchun, Jilin Province, Jingyuetan National Forest Park is regarded as "a pure land in a big city." It features a forest, water and mountains, and its natural beauty and fresh air attract a large number of tourists year after year. It is called a "natural oxygen bar." Jingyuetan, or Pure Moon Lake, is named after its crescent-shaped lake. Its water is crystal clear and the small fish swimming in the lake can be seen clearly from the water's banks.
