Zhengzhou – The birthland of the Chinese civilization and Shaolin Kung Fu.

Xinzheng International Airport lies on the boarder of Xuedian Town and of Zhengzhou City. As an important trunk line airport and a hub of air traffic in China, there are currently 17 airlines operating 82 air routes to 52 domestic and international cities and areas in it, including Hong Kong, Macau, Japan and Thailand. There are three levels in the terminal building, the first level is a parking lot, the Domestic and International Arrival Hall are on the second level and the Domestic and International Departure Hall are on the third level.

With a warm temperate continental climate, the annual average temperature of Zhengzhou is about 14.3°C (57.7°F). Zhengzhou weather is comfortable, with bright sunshine and a clear distinction between the four seasons. The hottest month is July with an average temperature of about 27.3°C (81.1°F), while the coldest month is January, with an average temperature around minus 0.2°C (about 31.6 °F). Winter in Zhengzhou is cold though seldom snowy.

Liyu Sanchi (Three cooking methods of Cyprinoid) is the famous Zhengzhou traditional dish. The Cyprinoid, a type of Carp from The Yellow River is soaked in fresh water for two or three days prior to cooking to remove the earthy smell. A Cyprinoid is cut into three, with one fillet being fried; the other cooked with Sweet and Sour Sauce. The rest of fish, its head and tail are boiled together with radish slices to make a tasteful and nutrient soup. After you have enjoyed the fish, you can mix some noodles with the remaining sweet and sour sauce, which is flavorful.

Jiao Hua Ji uses an old traditional cooking method developed by farmers who were too poor to even have their own cooking utensils. The native chicken is hunted in the forest then wrapped around a layer of dirt and mud while being roasted.

Shaolin Temple is situated in the west foothills of Song Mountain. At the mention of Shaolin Temple, tourists mostly think of Shaolin Kung Fu. If you are interested in Chinese Kong Fu, the temple and the performances must be seen.

The Yellow River Scenic Area is situated northwest of Zhengzhou City, in Henan Province. The scenic area is surprisingly beautiful. As seen from a high point in this scenic area, the mighty Yellow River rushes by and demonstrates tremendous force with rolling and falling of the river's torrents. Sometimes in its thousands of miles, the river reaches wide endless plains where currents flow smoothly, and sometimes it meets precipitous mountains where it has to zigzag its way.
