Hefei – The capital of Anhui province with low living expense.

Hefei Xinqiao International Airport is about 31.8 km (20 miles) from the city center. It is an important airport, linking Hefei city with many cities home and abroad. Flights to domestic cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and flights to many tourism cities such as Lijiang, Guilin and so on can be found in the airport. Direct international flights to some Asian cities such as Taipei, Singapore, Cheju, Hong Kong, Macau, Seoul, Bangkok and so on are operated from there. 

Hefei has four distinct seasons and agreeable weather which belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate. The weather chop and change fantasticality in Spring,  with a long and the intermittent drizzles can last from June to early July in summer. The autumn features is very comfortable with clear and sunny weather and it snows or rains for only few days in cold winter.

Lord Bao Fish is another well-known dish. This fish was originally found in a moat called Lord Bao River; hence it got the name Lord Bao Fish. This cuisine is a traditional cold dish - tender meat and dark reddish crisp skin. 

Luzhou Roast Duck originally was served to the royal court as the imperial dish. Until the period of Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) this cuisine could be found being cooked by local families. You will be attracted by the Duck's golden yellow shininess, crisp skin and tender meat. Compared to Beijing Roast Duck, it has moderate fat and salt, rich taste, and plentiful nutrients. 

The well-known Chao Lake is located in the city and is one of the five largest fresh-water lakes in China covering an area of about 800 square kilometers (about 309 square miles). There is an abundance of aquatic produce in the lake, amongst which the whitebait, the shrimp and the crab are known as the three treasures of Chaohu Lake. The lake is embraced by surrounding green mountains - layer upon layer of ridges and peaks. The 'moonlit night of the Chaohu Lake' and the 'morning glow of the four peaks' are two of the ancient eight top scenic spots in Luyang (present day Hefei).

Lord Bao (999-1062), named Bao Zheng, was a renowned officer in the Northern Song Dynasty. He is well respected because of his excellent personality, fair-minded judgments and strict family education. Many temples were built to commemorate his death. Among them the Memorial Temple of Lord Bao in Hefei is the most famous. In the center of the palace is a huge seated statue of Bao Zheng, measuring about nine feet.
