Nanchang – The capital of Jiangxi Province, the birthplace of the Communist Party of China.

As the largest airport in Jiangxi Province, Nanchang Changbei International Airport was opened in 1999 and operated its first international air route in 2004. With the terminal covering a total area of 27,141 square meters (6.7 acres), the airport is capable of handling 2,000,000 passengers per year and 1,100 at peak hours. It is now connected to over 20 domestic cites and offers international air routes to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

Nanchang enjoys a mid-subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons, abundant rainfall, and sunshine. It’s a long, hot summer in Nanchang, making it one of the four hottest cites in China (the so-called “Four Furnaces”) along with Nanjing, Chongqing and Wuhan, but when winter comes, it cloaks the city in temperatures as low as 15 degrees centigrade. The annual average temperature is about 17 degrees. Compared to the extremes of summer and winter, spring and autumn are cool and pleasant, and these are the best times to visit Nanchang.

Tengwang Pavilion is located on the shore of the Kan, in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. Together with Yellow Crane Tower, Yueyang Pavilion (Yueyang Lou), this fine building is one of the three most notable pavilions on south side of the Yangtze River. It also has the reputation of being the 'First Pavilion of Xijiang River' and has been widely admired by visitors from all over the world. In terms of its height, overall size and architectural style, this pavilion is a prime example of such buildings for which China is justifiably famous.
